SureCart has a few options for how to set prices for your products or services. One of them is called “Subscription Payment Type.”
In this article, you’ll learn about this payment type, and see how you can set it up in SureCart to sell subscriptions based products.
What is Subscription Payment Type
Subscription payment type is a way to collect recurring payments from customers at a fixed interval of time.
For example, if you have a fitness app that costs $15 per month, you can set up a subscription payment type so that customers are automatically charged $15 every month.
To do this, you can create a pricing plan with the Subscription Payment Type in SureCart.
How to Setup Subscription Payment Type in SureCart
If you want to add a subscription payment type for an existing product, you can access the product from the Products page, then go to the Pricing section and click on “Add Another Price.”
Or else if you are setting up a Subscription payment type for your new products, you can simply follow the steps below:
- Go to the “Products” section. Click on “Add New” for the product you want to add.
- Enter your product details like Name, Description, and Images, and then under the Pricing section, click the “Add a Price” button.
- Enter the pricing name and choose the Payment Type as Subscription for the product. Enter a price and select the repeat interval for the payment.
- If you want some flexibility for the price set the price as “Pay What You Want”, then you can enable the “Allow customers to pay what they want.” option.
- Toggle the Setup Fee option to collect any additional fee to set up an account for the users.
- Next, we have the option to provide free trials in this payment type. You can select days for which the free trials are made available with an option to charge the setup fee during this time period.

- Review your prices and click the “Create Price” button.
Once you’ve created the pricing, you will notice the Copy Links option beside it. This option provides Links like Buy Link, and Shortcodes like Add to Cart Button, and Buy Button Shortcode.
You can use these links and shortcodes on your block editor or even Elementor, Beaver Builder, or other page builders to display this product to people on your website..
You will even find the Price ID for the pricing if needed while using SureCart API.
