What Is an Abandoned Order?
Abandoned orders are a common challenge for online stores, this happens when people add items to their cart but then leave the website without finishing their purchase. This not only leads to lost sales but also affects the overall conversion rates of your online store.
But we’ve made it easy for you to keep track of these abandoned orders. You can see who left them, what they were trying to buy, and when they left without buying, these metrics can help you analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
But that’s not all. SureCart also has a powerful feature to help you recover these abandoned orders and boost your sales. We’ve explained how to use it in our Abandoned Checkout guide.
Now, let’s dive into the process and learn how to view abandoned orders in SureCart.
How to See Abandoned Orders
To view abandoned orders in SureCart, you can simply follow the steps:
- From the WordPress Dashboard, open SureCart > Orders > then, you’ll notice a new sub-menu called “Abandoned” under the Orders menu.
On this screen, you’ll find two important sections:
Abandoned Checkout Stats: Here, you get valuable insights into abandoned orders, including:
- Recoverable Checkouts
- Recoverable Revenue
- Recovered Checkouts
- Recovered Revenue
- Checkout Recovery Rate
- Revenue Recovery Rate
These statistics are available for various date ranges, providing you with a convenient view of your store’s performance.
Abandoned Checkout List: In this section, you’ll find a detailed list of all the abandoned checkouts. Let’s explore this section further.
To open one of the Abandoned orders click on “View Checkout” and you will see all the information related to that abandoned order.
In order details, you will find the following things:
Cart Recovery Link: This feature comes in handy when you want to give your users a link to their abandoned shopping carts, that has the products they added in their cart but did not make the purchase.
You can either manually provide the link to your customers or automate this process by configuring an Abandoned Checkout.
Checkout Details: This section provides information about the abandoned order, including the names of the abandoned product(s), any applied coupons, and the total cart amount.
The Abandoned Order page also contains customer information. By clicking the “View Customer” button, you’ll be directed to the customer’s page, where you can see the customer’s profile.
