How Can Customers Update Their Account Details
In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps of how your customers can update their account details such as their email, first name, last name, and display name from their customer dashboard.
We’ll provide you with a detailed guide, so let’s get started!
What is Customer Dashboard?
The customer dashboard is a particular page that SureCart automatically generates when you activate the SureCart plugin.
This is like my account page that your customers can access.
On this particular page, customers can find various details like recent orders, downloads, plans, account information, and more. They can also update their account details, password, review billing details, and manage payment methods.
How Can Customers Update Their Account Details?
To update their account details, customers need to log in to the customer dashboard. The default link to the SureCart customer dashboard is your domain followed by the “customer-dashboard” slug.
For example, if your domain is https://example.com, the customer dashboard login URL would be https://example.com/customer-dashboard
Now, let’s go through the steps that customers need to follow to update their account details.
- Customers should log into the customer dashboard using their login information.
- Once they’re inside, they should find the avatar with their display name in the bottom left corner of the screen and give it a click.
- Select the “Account” option.
- In the “Update Account Details” section, you can modify any of the fields provided. For this example, we’ve changed the “Account Email,” “Last Name,” and “Display Name.”
- Once you’re happy with the changes, just click the “Save” button.
You’ll notice that the Display Name changes immediately after you hit the “Save” button, just like the other fields your customers have updated.
That’s all they need to do. They’ve successfully updated their account details through the customer dashboard.
By following these steps, customers can easily keep their account information up to date and ensure that their displayed information is accurate.
