Orders & Receipts
Orders and receipts are essential for businesses to track sales and provide customers with proof of purchase.
Implementing sequential or random order numbers on receipts improves organization and security.
In this article, we’ll explore how to configure them in SureCart.
Sequential vs Random Order Numbers
Depending on your business needs and preferences, you can choose between two types of order numbers with SureCart:
- Sequential
- Random
Follow the steps below to configure them.
Sequential Order Numbers
To configure the Sequential Order Number, follow the steps below.
Navigate to the WordPress dashboard and click on SureCart > Settings > Orders & Receipts.
Select Sequential from the dropdown menu.
Add Prefix
To set the Order Number Prefix, add the wordings of your choice here.
Start Order Number At
To configure the Sequential Order Numbers, navigate to the Start Order Numbers At section and select the starting number of your choice.
The default is 1, but you’re free to choose any number that suits your needs.
Here is how it will look on the SureCart > Orders page.
This change will also be reflected in the invoices downloaded by the customers.
Random Order Numbers
To have a Random Order Number, just follow the steps below.
Click in the dropdown menu Orders Numbers Counter then select Random Numbers And Letters and click Save.
Here is how it will look on the SureCart > Orders page after you hit the Save button.
The example prefix “INV” will stay the same while the numbers next to them will be now randomized.
Setting a Language
To set the language of your Emails and Receipts follow the steps below:
- Go to your browser, type app.surecart.com, and login with your credentials.
- Go to Settings and in the Store Language, select in the dropdown the language you want and click Save.
