Manually Assign Affiliates to Past Orders/Customers

SureCart’s affiliate platform allows you to manually assign credit to an affiliate for past purchases or subscription renewals.

For example, if an affiliate refers a customer to your product’s subscription service but wasn’t credited automatically, you can manually link that customer or their subscription to the affiliate. This ensures the affiliate is rewarded for every renewal of the subscription moving forward.

The same applies to regular purchases. If an affiliate refers a customer but doesn’t receive credit for their past or future purchases, you can manually associate the customer or order with the affiliate to ensure they are compensated.

This article guides you through the process of manually assigning affiliates to past transactions or customers directly from your WordPress dashboard.

Manually Assign Affiliates for Past Customer Purchases

This is for manually assigning an affiliate to a customer or a past order, ensuring they receive credit for transactions that have already occurred. To do this, log in to your WordPress dashboard and follow these steps:

  • Navigate to SureCart > Customers and select the customer you want.
  • Choose the affiliate you want to reward for each purchase by this customer.
  • If you want to set a time limit for these payments, click these three dots and select Update
  • Set the time and date until which you want to pay this affiliate for each customer purchase and click Update.

Note: If you want to pay your affiliate indefinitely for every purchase the customer makes, leave this option as it is.

Finally, click on the Save Customer button at the top-right to enable these commissions.

Manually Assign Affiliates for Past Subscription Renewals

If you need to manually assign an affiliate to receive credit for a subscription renewal, here’s how to do it:

  • Navigate to SureCart > Subscriptions and select the customer’s subscription.
  • Select the affiliate you want to credit for each renewal of this subscription.
  • Similarly, if you want to limit the payment duration, click the three dots and access the calendar. Otherwise, leave this field unchanged.

That’s it! You can now manually configure this behavior for different affiliates and customers as needed.
