How to Connect PayPal Payment Processor
If you’re considering PayPal as your preferred payment processing solution for selling on SureCart, this article is for you.
PayPal, a trusted and globally recognized payment gateway, allows businesses to securely accept customer payments. Offering a comprehensive suite of features and tools, PayPal streamlines payment collection, making it a good choice for online businesses and e-commerce platforms.

How to Begin The Setup
To connect PayPal with SureCart effortlessly, follow these straightforward steps within your WordPress admin area:
- Navigate to the Settings menu from your dashboard.
- Click on Payment Processors. This will open a screen with all available processors.
Connecting PayPal with SureCart
Here’s how you can connect your PayPal with the SureCart store:
- Click on the PayPal processor under the Payment Processors section from your dashboard.
- Select the PayPal tab here.
- Click on the Connect and select “Live Mode” from the dropdown.
- Fill in your PayPal account information here.
After successfully logging in with your PayPal credentials, you will be redirected to your SureCart platform.
You should see PayPal enabled both here and on your WordPress dashboard. Customers can now easily use PayPal to purchase products from your online store!
Note: If you come across the “Not Approved” warning, it means PayPal hasn’t yet approved your account for transactions. To resolve this, contact PayPal’s support team for assistance on the next steps to get your account approved.
How to Connect Paypal in Test Mode
You can also connect PayPal in test mode. This lets you establish the payment system in a secure testing setup.
Follow these steps to connect the test payment:
- Click on the PayPal toggle to access the SureCart platform.
- Click on the PayPal tab, then select “Test Mode” from the Connect dropdown menu.
Fill in your PayPal account credentials here. Once completed, you’ll be redirected to the SureCart platform where you’ll see the test mode enabled.
- Now, head back to your WordPress page and refresh it. After doing so, you will notice a green tag indicating that you have successfully connected your PayPal account in test mode.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully enabled PayPal in Test mode, and you’re now ready to make a test purchase using PayPal.
