How to Set Up a Password Field During the Checkout Process
SureCart provides your customers with a dedicated dashboard to conveniently access information about their previous orders, ongoing subscriptions, and other account details. It is like a “My Account” section that shows the customer’s details.
There are two straightforward methods for your customers to access this user-friendly dashboard:
- Via Email Link: Customers can access their dashboard by simply clicking on a link provided in the email notification they receive after making a purchase. Upon clicking the link, they will be redirected to the customer dashboard, where they can set up a password for future access.
- Checkout Form Password Setup: Alternatively, you can set up a “Customer Dashboard Password” field within your checkout form. This helps customers to create their passwords during the checkout process. Afterward, they can use their registered email and the chosen password to log in directly to their customer dashboard.
In this article, we will guide you through setting up the password field for your customers’ convenience.
- Go to SureCart from your WordPress website, and choose the Checkout – Store Checkout form.
- Click on the Checkout form to select it, and then click on the plus button and navigate to the SureCart Section.
- Drag and drop the Password block anywhere in the form where you wish your customers to insert their passwords.
- Set as Required in the Block settings to force customers to create their passwords during the checkout.
- Click on Password Confirmation toggle to ask customers to confirm their passwords.
- Click on the Update button to save the changes.
After, you’ve added the password field, your customers will be able to set passwords for their dashboard while making the purchase.
Your online store can benefit greatly from adding a password field during the checkout process.
It makes life easier for returning customers and sets the stage for a more personalized shopping experience. It’s not just a tiny feature; it’s a smart move that helps you build a better, more user-friendly store. So yeah, it’s kind of a big deal.
