How to Customize Layouts for Individual Collections
How to Customize Layouts for Individual Collections
In this guide, we’ll show you how to create a custom layout for each collection with just a few simple steps.
By using template conditions, you can assign unique layouts to individual collection pages, giving each collection its own distinct design.
Let’s get started!
Creating a Custom Layout for Each Collection
If you already have a collection template, follow the steps below. If not, make sure to create one first. We have detailed documentation on how to create a collection template here.
- Open the Collection Template.
- Click on the Settings icon (1) in the top navigation bar.
- In the settings panel, navigate to Template Settings.
- Click on Conditions.
- Click the ADD CONDITION button to define when this template should be applied.
- In the new condition, click to open the dropdown menu (1).
- Select the Terms option from the list (2).
- Click the Select Terms dropdown (1).
- Now you just need to choose the specific collection(s) to which you want to apply this layout (2).
That’s it!
You’ve successfully created a custom layout for the selected collection(s). Each collection can now have its own unique design, giving you greater flexibility and control over your site’s appearance.
