Guest checkout

Guest checkouts

Guest checkout is especially convenient for first-time customers who wish to avoid leaving a digital footprint, receiving promotional notifications, or committing to an account for a one-time purchase. Requiring account creation in such scenarios can negatively impact conversion rates. Furthermore, guest checkout provides a faster and more streamlined purchasing experience compared to creating an account.

Although guest checkout may seem appealing to first-time customers, it poses significant drawbacks for merchants. With guest checkout, you can only notify customers about shipping updates. It restricts opportunities for marketing, abandoned cart recovery, sharing promotional materials, sending newsletters, or even requesting product feedback.

Customer accounts

Registered accounts offer customers a more interactive and personalized shopping experience with the store and its merchants. This connection provides businesses with a valuable marketing opportunity to deliver targeted recommendations and promotional materials. Meanwhile, users gain access to exclusive discounts, stay updated on the latest products, and can leave reviews for items they’ve purchased.

Another key advantage is the tailored account page, where users can log in to view their purchase history, payment details, and billing information. They can easily manage their account by upgrading or downgrading services, as well as opting in or out of newsletters or other marketing communications.

Additionally, the checkout process for registered users is seamless and efficient. With saved billing information, addresses, and tax details, completing a purchase requires just a single click on the checkout button. This convenience enhances the overall shopping experience for customers.

How does it work in SureCart?

SureCart currently does not offer a direct “guest checkout” option, as we believe account creation benefits merchants and users. An account is automatically created using the provided email address whenever a user completes a purchase.
