Facebook Pixel Integration
SureCart will automatically track Facebook Pixel events for you. To enable this, you only need to install the Facebook Pixel plugin on your site.
It must be installed directly, not through Google Tag Manager or another 3rd party script manager.
Here’s how you can install and set up this plugin on your WordPress site.
Install Meta Pixels for WordPress
- Install and Activate the Meta Pixels plugin on your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings > Meta and click on Get Started to connect your Facebook business account to your site.
This will guide you through the process of connecting your Facebook account with the WordPress site. Make sure you have your Facebook Business account set up properly before proceeding.
- After the integration is complete, confirm the connection to complete the process.
Events to Track
Here are the events that are sent to Facebook Pixel.
- Add To Cart: Sent when a product is added to the cart.
- InitiateCheckout: Sent when the checkout is initiated.
- Purchase: Sent when a purchase is made or checkout is completed.
- Start Trial: Sent when a trial is started, either paid or free.
- Subscribe: Sent when a subscription is started.
- AddPaymentInfo: Sent when payment info is added to the checkout form.
- Search: When a search is performed on the product shop page. The search string is also tracked.
- ViewContent: When a specific page product is viewed.
