If you’re thinking about moving from another platform to SureCart but feel overwhelmed or worried it might be hard and take too much time, don’t worry! This article is here to help you every step of the way.

And guess what? Even if your store is big, you can complete this migration process relatively fast.

So, let’s begin!

Overview of the Journey

To provide a clearer picture of the journey ahead, here’s an overview of what we will accomplish:

  1. Set up your store.
  2. Configure your branding and notifications.
  3. Connect payment methods.
  4. Import your customers.
  5. Import your products.
  6. Import active subscriptions.
  7. Synchronize your WordPress users with SureCart.

Let’s dive into each step one by one.

Set up Your Store

You’ve successfully installed SureCart and completed the quick and easy setup process, which means your store is now up and running.

However, before you unveil your store to the public, there are some crucial settings you need to configure that decide how your store looks to visitors.

This can include setting up the store name, and store logo, selecting the currency in which you’ll be selling, etc.

You can use this guide titled “How to Update Store Details” to learn how to fill in all the essential information for your store easily.

Once you’ve completed this step, you’re ready to add some personal and unique touches to your store.

Configure Your Branding and Notifications

Now that your SureCart store is up and running, it’s time to make it uniquely yours. Your store’s branding and notifications play a vital role in creating a memorable and consistent customer experience.

By setting up the branding, you can ensure that all the customer-facing areas like invoices, email notifications, customer dashboard, etc. show your brand colors, logos, and name.

Later, you can set up email notifications you might want to send to your customers or receive based on your requirements.

By following this step, you’ll ensure that your SureCart store reflects your brand’s personality and maintains a professional image in the eyes of your customers.

Next, let’s move on to connecting payment processors, a crucial step to start processing payments seamlessly on your new SureCart store.

Import Your Products

Importing Purchases

After importing your products, the next step in your migration journey is to import your historical purchase data. This step is especially important if you sell licenses, as it ensures all past transactions are accurately reflected in your SureCart store. Maintaining comprehensive purchase records is crucial for your store’s operations and customer service.

You will need to prepare a CSV file containing essential information, such as customer emails, product identifiers, purchase dates, and any other relevant details. The CSV file must follow SureCart’s required format to avoid errors during the import process.

Once this step is complete, your store will have a complete record of historical purchases, providing the foundation for accurate customer management and reporting.

With your purchase data successfully imported, you’re now ready to proceed to the next step: importing your subscriptions.
