You can easily integrate SureCart with PayPal, which allows you to accept payments from your customers. However, when testing the SureCart-PayPal connection, you may encounter an “Invalid Credentials Error.” This article will explain the causes of this error and how to fix it.
The causes of Invalid Credentials error:
When the login information entered to establish the connection between SureCart and PayPal is incorrect, the “Invalid Credentials Error” occurs. This error can happen for a number of reasons that include the following:
Incorrect PayPal login credentials:
If the PayPal email address or password that you entered is incorrect, you will not be able to establish a connection with SureCart. It is essential to double-check your login credentials to ensure that they are correct. If you do not remember your PayPal credentials, you can reset them here.
The test account is not set up:
To test the connection between SureCart and PayPal, you need to have a PayPal Sandbox account set up. If you have not set up a Sandbox account, you will not be able to establish a connection.
Step 1: To create a sandbox account with PayPal, you will need to navigate to the Sandbox page of PayPal and create an account. It is free and super easy to set up.
Once you have created an account, please log in to your SureCart Dashboard by entering the email address and password associated with SureCart.
Step 2: On your dashboard, click on the Processor to access the payment connections. Click on the Test Mode and click on connect next to the PayPal option.
Step 3: This will automatically redirect you to the Sandbox page of PayPal. Enter the email address and password of your newly created Sandbox account.
That will do the trick. You will be able to log in to your PayPal sandbox account.
